Brian had guaranteed Elspet a great wedding later on in life and their bungalow.
But Brian had not been genuine. He was a love scammer, something Elspet would not realise until she had delivered him ?10,000.
That they had met for a dating site, she was in fact drawn in over e-mail, and also the cash – including life cost cost savings – happens to be in the fingers and destroyed to her.
Elspet was convinced by their tale of serving abroad within the army. She trusted milfaholic him sufficient to believe their buddy, a diplomat, had been bringing house their possessions but required cash for fares and courier charges. It had been a lie.
“You feel pity. You are feeling stupid and depressed, ” stated Elspet, aged 67.
Now she works as a scam marshal, playing victims and warning people in her community centre concerning the threat of this type of fraudulence.
